JOB POSTING YHC 001:  Customer Service Agent
LOCATION: Vancouver Harbour
SHIFT: shifts and schedule will vary based on operational requirements
TERM: Full-Time, Permanent

WAGE: Starting at $23.00/hr depending on experience

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Respond promptly to incoming calls and emails related to selling and reserving scenic tours, flight reservations and travel enquires
  • Assist guests with flight changes, cancellations, and upgrades
  • Provide detailed and accurate information on our fare tiers, including policies and schedules and rates
  • Provide empathetic, friendly and professional customer support during each interaction
  • Accurately communicate up to date information, including flight schedules, operational changes and delays.
  • Weighing, lifting and tagging luggage, preparing passenger manifests, data entry and filing
  • Calculating weight and balance for aircraft, dispatching of flights and aircraft scheduling
  • Conduct radio communication effectively with the pilots and flight following of aircraft
  • Other duties as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including clarity, professionalism and customer engagement
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience handling high volume, multi-line telephone systems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role (minimum 3 years required)
  • Previous experience in the airline industry or tourism and travel industries is an asset
  • Geographical knowledge of BC’s West Coast is an asset
