We know pets are part of the family. Here’s everything you need to know before flying with your furry, feathered, or four-legged companion.
Accompanied Dogs and Cats
Small dogs and cats
20 pounds and under
20 POUNDS AND UNDER (ACCOMPANIED BY OWNER):
Upon check-in, the dog will be weighed, and transported free of charge (does not count towards luggage allotment). The dog will sit on the owner’s lap with a dog harness (either supplied by the owner or by Seair Seaplanes), as well as, a Seair Seaplanes supplied seat belt attachment.
Cats must be in a small, soft carrier and will sit on owner’s lap and will be supplied with a Seair seatbelt attachment.
Cats on lap will be transported free of charge and will not count towards luggage allotment.

Large dogs
21 pounds and over
OPTION #1
CRATED AND PLACED IN CARGO COMPARTMENT
The dog will be transported in a hard shell, travel case (supplied by the owner) and will be secured in the cargo area. The weight of the dog and the case will go against the allotted passenger baggage weight and if over, excess baggage charges will apply.
Baggage allotment based on fare tier and excess is $1.50/lbs.

OPTION #2
DESIGNATED SPACE IN CABIN
The dog, with a dog harness on (either supplied by the customer or a Seair supplied harness), will have a secure and designated space on the floor near the dog’s owner. The dog rate (including all taxes) for each route is listed below:

Accompanied birds or other pets
All animals must be in a hard shell, travel case and will be secured in the cargo area. The weight of the animal and the case goes against the owner’s allotted passenger baggage weight and if over, excess baggage charges will apply. See above excess baggage chart for rates.

Unaccompanied live animals
Any unaccompanied live animals must be in a hard shell travel case and will be charged as cargo and secured in the cargo area. See above for aircraft dimensions.
Seair customer service agents must be advised of all animal travel prior to the flight in order to have the appropriate cargo space and necessary supplies ready for acceptance.
The shipper will be required to wait with the animal until the flight departs, in the event of weather delays or cancellations.
Seair will not be responsible in the event of loss, delay, injury, sickness or death of any pet or animal accepted for transportation.
Service animals
Seair Seaplanes accepts service animals that are required to assist a person with a disability, provided that the animal is properly harnessed and certified in writing, as being trained by a professional service animal institution.
The service animal is permitted to accompany the person with a disability on board and to remain on the floor at the passenger’s seat, or, where there is insufficient floor space at the passenger’s seat, to remain on the floor in an area where the person can still exercise control over the animal.
Service animals travel complimentary, however, please notify a customer service agent if you are travelling with a service animal, prior to reserving your flight.
