Ultimate Grizzly Bear Viewing Experience
Tour Overview
Experience one of British Columbia’s most iconic wildlife encounters in a single unforgettable day. Your adventure begins with a spectacular seaplane flight from Vancouver Harbour, soaring above the Sunshine Coast, rugged fjords, pristine islands, and the Salish Sea before arriving at Stuart Island.
From there, board a boat bound for Orford Bay in the traditional territory of the Homalco First Nation. Guided by knowledgeable Homalco experts, you’ll journey through the Orford River Valley to a series of elevated wildlife viewing platforms overlooking the river, where grizzly bears gather during the annual salmon run.
While grizzly bears are the highlight, the surrounding wilderness is home to an abundance of wildlife. Keep an eye out for bald eagles, Roosevelt elk, harbour seals, sea lions, and even Pacific white-sided dolphins along the way.
After your bear viewing excursion, enjoy a freshly prepared dockside lunch surrounded by spectacular coastal scenery before returning to Stuart Island for your scenic seaplane flight back to Vancouver.
This exclusive same-day experience combines unforgettable wildlife viewing, Indigenous-guided interpretation, and breathtaking seaplane travel into one remarkable British Columbia adventure.
